“I must be willing to give up what I am in order to become what I will be” – Albert Einstein
Hi, I’m Roman…
I know I am not alone in this, but it has always been difficult for me to write about myself. How do you capture your achievements, aspirations, and goals without sounding pompous or self absorbed? What can I share that’s truly of value? By no means have I found the perfect answer, but I think my personal mission statement will suffice for now.
“Live in a manner that will motivate, encourage, and inspire those around me. Seek out opportunities for growth, and always lead by example. Be remembered for my actions, as well as my words…”
In 2006, I joined the Army with the aspirations of becoming a 68WM6 (LVN). When I look back on life, and the decisions I have made, joining the military was hands down the best decision I have ever made.
“Always Forward,” is the motto of the 1st Battalion, 34th Infantry Regiment Combat Training Battalion at Fort Jackson, South Carolina where I was stationed. It’s a concept has stuck with me since BCT, and a belief that has been the driving force behind my (modest) success.
